The Speedport Black is the racquet of choice for the World's No.1 doubles team, the Bryan Brothers. From the first hit we found a large sweetspot and a forgiving feel from the Speedport Black. The open 16/19 string pattern provides excellent access to spin. With the Prince O3 Speedport technology, there's loads of comfort with every hit and a dampened feel at impact. Thanks to a new grommet system, called the Speed Port Tuning System, players can fine tune the feel of the O3 Speedport Black. Two grommet systems come with the racquet. One system, the String Port insert, acts like a regular Speedport racquet, allowing the strings freedom of movement. The other grommet system, the String Hole insert features a standard grommet to restrict string movement (like a regular grommet system) without altering the aerodynamic benefits of the large Speedports. With the String Hole insert, we found enhanced feel and feedback from the racquet. With the String Port insert, more comfort and dampening. The Speedport Tuning System can be switched during stringing and does not alter the specs of the racquet. When closing the net we found plenty of pop on approach shots and volleys from the mid court. At net the racquet feels fast and mobile - making it a solid partner for all court and doubles players. All in all an impressive stick which will also find favor with aggressive baseline players who will be able to utilize the power and spin capabilities of this racquet. Well worth a demo for attacking 3.5+ level players.
